Welcome to People of 2MoRO new episode. Today, we are with Florian, Aviation Maintenance & Functional Expert at 2MoRO. Through this interview, he will try to explain us what his job is about.

  • Introduce yourself…

Hi everyone, I am Florian, I am working at 2MoRO since August 2018, as Aviation MRO & Functional Expert. I mainly work on Aero-Webb, our maintenance information system. I graduated from an Aircraft Maintenance Professional license. This allowed me to work in different positions in Airspace Maintenance (Part 145 / Part M).

  • What is your job ?

My work has several aspects:

I first participate in pre-sales , by testing functional aspects and presenting our software to potential customers. I also participate in the implementation of the products, by identifying customer needs during workshops, by writing deliverables, and ensuring high quality customer support. Upstream, one of my missions is to validate new functionalities, modifications and/or corrections requested by the customer during software construction.

Finally I would say that my previous experiences gave me strong business knowledge, that I use everyday to help implementing our software, and more largely our services.

  • What you love in your job…

Thanks to its transversality, my work is very enriching concerning business, technical knowledge, and human exchanges. It also brings me a different point of view on the aerospace sector. I already knew the technical side, operating maintenance and airworthiness tasks, and now I am working on the solution allowing to deal and manage these two aspects.

  • Do you work with other positions ?

Everyday I work closely with the other consultants of 2MoRO, so we can discuss about our insights and knowledge concerning the functional aspects of our software. I also work everyday with the IT developers, in order to traduce customers needs in our software. I explain them our customers vision, and they apply it in the software. And I also work closely with sales teams during pre-sales and products demos.

Communication: it is essential to easily dialogue with the customers (workshops, pre-sales…) but also to clearly understand the customers needs to development teams

Reactivity: rapidly understand and adapt to customers needs

Curiosity: it helps to always learn new knowledge

  • What you love at 2MoRO…

From my point of view, 2MoRO is different by its size: even if we are now part of Sopra Steria, a European leader in digital transformation, we keep being “a small SME” where reigns a nice atmosphere. Indeed, the proximity and accessibility of management results in a very pleasant and family atmosphere.
