The objective is to design and setup a mobile robot that can collaborate with mechanics for visual aircraft inspection. The robot can perform NDT (Non Destructive Tests) and provides reliable inspection results to the information system whatever the conditions are inside hangars or on the tarmac. All inspection results can be used to create value for MRO stakeholders.


Our challenges:

  • Easy integration of the robot within the existing information systems (aircraft manufacturer, airlines)


  • Provide the robot with the inspection tasks to perform and use data sent back by the robot to create value like preventive diagnosis


  • User interface available on tablets for effective collaboration between the robot and mechanics


  • Ensure inspection results traceability to contribute to flight safety
