Curious to know more about Marina? Here is her interview!
Hello Elodie, can you introduce yourself in a few words? (Studies, professional experiences…)
Hi, my name is Elodie and I've been working at 2MoRO for 4 years. After my A-levels, I did a DUT in IT in Montpellier, followed by a Licence 3.
I then moved to Toulouse to do the HMI Masters, the second year of which is at ENAC (Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile).
For my end-of-studies placement, I worked at a Digital services company on a project linked to the interface used by air traffic controllers en route. I stayed there for a few years before moving to the Netherlands in 2021. I was quickly taken on at 2MoRO following an unsolicited application.
What is your role at 2MoRO, and what do your missions consist of?
I'm a Design and Development Engineer, with the title of Tech Lead, in the Manufacturing team.
My tasks are quite varied, and include code analysis, writing technical specifications, development, support for more junior developers and a lot of communication.
The Manufacturing team is responsible for adding new features to the Aero-Webb® product. So, as Tech Lead, I'm responsible for the smooth development of upgrades. As part of this, I must understand and challenge the functional requirements, support the other developers in the team who are working on this subject, do the final proofreading of the code and answer any subsequent technical questions from other colleagues.
What do you prefer about your job?
Sharing my knowledge, increasing my functional and technical skills, understanding the needs of customers so that I can meet them as effectively as possible and exchanging ideas with my colleagues, whether technical or not and whether in my team or not. As a Tech, I particularly enjoy the analysis, design and development phases, which enable me to find the best solution to meet the initial need, while integrating as well as possible with the existing code.
What do you think are the qualities necessary to succeed in your missions?
Organisation, Thoroughness, communication
If you had to recommend 2MoRO to a potential candidate, what would you say?
It's a welcoming company in a pleasant setting. You meet people with very different professional backgrounds. You can work in different teams, each with their own particularities. You can put your existing skills to good use while learning new things. The company strongly encourages the sharing of knowledge and good practice between different teams and different areas of activity.
Finally, can you define 2MoRO using two or three words?
Conviviality, Challenge, Team spirit
Congratulations, Elodie, on your diverse journey and four years at 2MoRO! A huge thank you for your dedication and for sharing your experience with us. We wish you great success in the next chapter of your adventure with us!
