2MoRO Solutions at AERO 2011 – CASI 58th Aeronautics Conference and AGM, Montreal, Canada

CASI has been holding aeronautical and space conferences every year since 1954.

The theme of the AERO 2011 conference is Sustainable Aerospace: The Canadian Contribution.

The technical program consists of 150 oral presentations in five Symposia that cover a wide range of subject areas: Aerodynamics, Aerospace Structures and Materials, Aircraft Design and Development, Human Factors, and Propulsion.

Many of the industry senior players such as Bombardier Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney Canada, academia as Ecole de Technologie Supérieure, Polytechnique Montreal, and the government attend this event. (Source CASI)

2MoRO chairs the session entitled « Design to cost and value engineering for green aircraft » and presents a paper dealing with « Case-Based Model to enhance aircraft fleet management and equipment performance »

Paper abstract :

Several constraints and seven transformative trends dictate the design and the maintainability of future aircraft including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), such as reducing design, maintenance, and exploitation costs as well as optimizing aircraft availability without neglecting flight security, safety, and the environment.

To meet business and ecological needs, we propose innovative models mainly based on the exploitation of in-service data to aircraft/engine/equipment manufacturers as well as maintenance centers.

We are now working on retrieving data from heterogeneous information systems with aircraft manufacturers to improve our models on a large scale.

This conference would be a good opportunity to exchange ideas and build relationships for transatlantic cooperation on subjects such as green aircraft, the development of the UAV civilian market, and pro-active aircraft maintenance.
