Vincent Doumairon

- Hello Vincent, can you introduce yourself in a few words? (Studies, professional experiences…)

Hello. In my training course, I followed a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I first wanted to direct my studies toward teaching, especially after a long experience in my younger years as a tennis instructor. Then I finally chose the engineering profession, which seemed to me more open in terms of innovation and evolution.

I started by working on truck route optimization software for waste collection, then, very quickly, I entered the world of aeronautical maintenance at Capgemini Toulouse by working on SAP® projects for Airbus' Customer Services. It was in this context that I discovered the MRO ecosystem through the prism of information systems that must integrate the various businesses of a large industrial group.

I then sought to join a smaller company to help it grow by feeling fully involved in its development. So I joined 2MoRO in 2006 and, from this point of view, I couldn't have been better! 2MoRO was born two years earlier with a dual ambition: to offer both IT-oriented consulting services in MRO, but also to edit innovative and very business-oriented software bricks to complete the existing products on the market.

At 2MoRO, I started by doing design and development on the integration between the Aero-Webb® product and the SAP® ERP to propose an offer in which Aero-Webb® covered the Maintenance and Fleet Monitoring bricks, SAP® covering the bricks of cross-functional businesses such as finance, sales, purchasing, and logistics. Initially involved in the development and technical tasks, I gradually switched to functional activities and expertise around the product. That allowed me to intervene in several stages of the value chain: design, development, pre-sales, and support.

- What is your role at 2MoRO, and what do your missions consist of?

2MoRO develops the Aero-Webb® product, which is today at the heart of strategic projects of the Sopra Steria group for maintaining aeronautical fleets in operational conditions. In this context, it was necessary to develop a complete logistics module covering the functions of reception, shipping, store management, satisfaction of logistics needs, asset management, and inventories. I was in charge of the design and management of the development of this module.

In addition, I am also the functional manager of the Aero-Webb® product, each module of which is managed by a domain expert. I participate in the constitution of the Roadmap by taking into consideration different inputs, such as the needs of ongoing projects, the needs of the market, or the needs encountered during pre-sales.

- What do you like / like less about your job?

What I like most is the absence of monotony. To put it simply, I don't get bored at 2MoRO!

I like to think about the improvement of the product, whether for improving existing features (user experience, performance) or for the addition of new features.

Daily, I enjoy working closely with the development teams and thus seeing the product evolve and grow. Also belonging to the group allows me to work with people with enriching experiences and profiles, which is a vector for improvement, whether on a personal level or for the Aero-Webb® product.

And the current context is quite unique, with strategic and complex projects that should propel Aero-Webb® as a reference in aeronautical MCO. The challenge is important, and things are not without difficulties, but I am optimistic because all the actors in these projects seem to share a common quality at 2MoRO as elsewhere in the group: they have a cool head and know how to keep the course!

- What do you think are the qualities necessary to succeed in your missions?

Team spirit, perseverance, tolerance. And a little phlegm can't hurt.

- If you had to recommend 2MoRO to a potential candidate, what would you say?

That 2MoRO is a company that works at the crossroads of many fields in ebullition! Digital, Aeronautics, High tech industries, Defense, Regulation, etc.

And that it is possible to work on these very serious activities in a caring and pleasant environment. That is the case at 2MoRO.

Thank you very much Vincent for your time, your involvement, and all your answers. We wish you a good continuation at 2MoRO.
